Bushido-Kai Canada has four sessions per year: September (Fall Session), January (Winter Session), April (Spring Session) and August (Summer Session). We welcome new students of all ages and levels at any of our sessions throughout the year.
FORMS

The “Bushido-Kai Canada” Registration Form must be filled out by each student and/or parent guardian for every session (January, September, April and August).
Students registering in the Tiger Tots, Karate Kidz or Junior/Adult Karate programs, are required to fill out a Registration Form prior to participating.
The “Karate Manitoba” registration form is required once per year by all students.
AFFILIATIONS
Students will be required to become members of Karate Manitoba (Provincial governing body) and All Japan Shito-Ryu Seiko-Kai Association ( National and International Karate Affiliate. These memberships are an annual, modest, one time per year charge paid once upon any Fall or New registrations thereafter. These membership forms are available at the Hombu dojo once your Bushido-Kai Canada Registration Form has been completed and submitted.
GRADING
Students are selected for grading depending on completion of outcomes as set by the curriculum of All Japan Shito-Ryu Seiko-Kai Association. Grading is done generally twice per year. All grading is done at the Hombu dojo (Glenwood).
Students are selected for grading based upon a pyramid of outcomes including skills, attitude, and attendance. Additionally, individual factors such as learning style and age are considered when a student is selected for grading. Students require two forms for grading:
Promotion Form: All students up for grading will receive a Promotion Form. The bottom portion of the form and grading fee must be submitted by the date indicated on the Promotion Form. Students may not attend the grading if they have not submitted their proper forms and payments prior to or on the date indicated on the form.
All Japan Shito-Ryu Seiko-Kai Passport:
All Bushido-Kai Canada students are required to have the ‘All Japan Shito-Ryu Seiko-Kai Karate-Do Passport‘. This passport is a required curricular element that documents a student’s progress as set out by the Shito-Ryu Seiko-Kai Pan-American Headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as implemented by Bushido-Kai Canada.
Passports include all aspects of your training and will be signed by the appropriate authority at your dojo upon presentation. Students must present their passport upon each event (grading, workshops/seminars, volunteer work, extra training and tournaments). Your passport recognizes your rank and membership and with this passport your rank will be recognized anywhere in the world as a member of the All Japan Shito-Ryu Seiko-Kai Association. Passports are issued by the Pan American Headquarters of Shito-Ryu Seiko-Kai Karate-Do in Vancouver.
