Karate Kidz Youth Programs

Our Karate Kidz youth programs are innovative, age specific classes, designed to teach your child the 10 Core Skills of a fulfilling life… when asked “What do you expect your child to gain from the study of Karate?“… the vast majority of parents indicate that they want their children to learn these skills:

Tiger Tots (ages 4 – 6 years) is a once a week program targeted specifically for the younger beginning student. Tiger Tots students train once a week. This program was initially designed for our University of Manitoba Children’s Program based on a demand for an active, healthy lifestyle with an introduction to the concept of Karate for the younger student. With a focus on the age appropriate attention span, this class is packed with fun and movement for our young Tigers. We see many of our Tiger Tots students progress into our regular Karate Kidz program as they incorporate Karate into their daily living. Due to demand, this program has now been added to our 2010 – 2011 Schedule at Glenwood.

Karate Kidz (ages 7 – 13) is open to all students ages 7 and up. Students in this program can train up to three times a week. Children’s classes are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays with an Open class on Fridays where all students of any age and level may attend. This is a great opportunity for our families to train together or for children to train with the older students and adults they don’t see during their regular children’s classes. The class schedule is for your convenience and we encourage our students to use the schedule as it best suits your needs. Students progress and train at their own level, it is our goal to offer you a variety of convenient classes. Your session registration fees allows you to attend as many classes as you like.
