Shito-Ryu Karate Do originated from the Japanese island of  Okinawa (Ryu Kyu). Our intent is to pass on the traditions of this ancient martial art. Please enjoy our informative insight into our Martial Art.  Enjoy your visit!

Bushido - Kai Canada (Way of the Warrior) is headed by Chief Instructor Angelo Mendoza Sensei , practices traditional Shito- Ryu Karate-do founded by Kenwa Mabuni (b. 1887) as part of the All Japan Shito-Ryu Seiko-Kai Association under Soke Seiko Suzuki.

Bushido-Kai Canada is a member of Karate Manitoba the provincial governing body for Sport Canada. Karate Manitoba is the provincial affiliate of the National Karate Association (NKA) the governing body that represents Canada in World Karate Federation (WKF) the international governing body recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Mendoza Sensei is a member of Canadian Iaido Association (C.I.A.)

The mission of Bushido-Kai Canada is to impact people's lives with the positive benefits of karate. We teach the traditional values of martial arts: discipline, honor, respect for self and others, loyalty, perseverence and family. Our goal is to teach the skills needed for self defense and create success in life with the practice of Martial Arts.
